The Royal Conservatory School is one of the largest and most extensive community-based music and arts schools in North America.

It is designed for people of all ages, levels of ability, cultural backgrounds, and artistic interests. Renowned for its exceptional academic instruction, we offer a wide variety of musical and creative education, including everything from classical, popular, folk, jazz, and world music to classes in writing and film making.

Our constantly evolving selection of classes builds on new research in the fields of education, cognitive neuroscience, and arts-infused approaches to developing the potential of every child and adult.

Innovative and newly updated programs in early childhood education, virtual music, creative writing, and professional development are offered in a supportive learning environment. As The RCM is committed to fostering a culture of creativity where access to music and arts education is accessible to everyone, several outreach programs are offered to communities that are most in need. These programs celebrate the diversity of several musical styles and cultural traditions that are specific to each community.

Our faculty of distinguished artists and educators are committed to the development and growth of their students as artists and individuals. Acknowledging that every student has unique methods of learning and levels of ability, students work collaboratively with their instructors to ensure that their individual needs and interests are being addressed.

The Royal Conservatory School is dedicated to excellence in music education, developing new programs to meet the needs of our students, and to presenting educational opportunities that accurately reflect Canada's unique multicultural social context.
