Welcome to Living Through The Arts Windsor!
Since 2009, with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, our Artist-Educators have been bringing the benefits of Arts Programming to the Windsor Community with creativity, skill and professionalism. All of our Artist-Educators have received specialized training from The Royal Conservatory and possess a strong arts-based commitment to serving those interested in increasing personal capacity, strengthening community, and engaging in fun!
Many youth in crisis are provided with creative outlets for their voice to be heard through our program that they haven’t had access to before. Seniors and those with developmental and intellectual challenges are also empowered to share and develop a wealth of creativity never before realized through accessible and enjoyable multi layered programming facilitated by our trained Artist-Educators. Recently, our Drum Circle Artist-Facilitator was able to help an individual with multiple challenges work through the death of his grandmother and heart attack of his mother over the Christmas break. It was an emotional session after which he expressed his gratitude and friendship to all who were present. Staff were moved to tears and after the session all felt a sense of healing, bonding and a renewed strengthening of community.
We invite you to consider how Living Through the Arts programming might enhance and augment your organization’s mission and goals! Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or creative ideas that come up!

“The Inn of Windsor is a residential program for adolescent females aged 13-18 who are experiencing some mental health issues along with behavioral, emotional, social and family conflict. I am writing on behalf of our residents to express their pleasure with the Living Through the Arts Program. Our staff has given me feedback that the girls thoroughly love the program and it has proven to be very therapeutic for all. We are anxiously looking forward to having the dance instructor come in this summer and know that the girls will definitely enjoy this. You have a wonderful program.”
~ Janet Vetor, Program Director, The Inn of Windsor
“Another amazing day drumming yesterday, thank you. It is so interesting to see that people arrived 15-20 minutes early to attend these sessions. That is awesome! I saw people learning and waiting for others to take their turn. Everyone respected each other.”
